I was born and brought up in Japan.

After graduating the printmaking Department of Royal College of Art, London, now I'm based in Brighton, working as a professional manga artist.

I create stories as well as illustrations by myself like King of a Miniature Garden (2007 collected in The Mammoth Book of Best New Manga 2, Constable & Robinson), my first manga and Moonlight (2008 collected in The Mammoth Book of Best New Manga 3, Constable & Robinson), which was shortlisted in Manga Jiman competition organized by UK Japan Embassy.

I also work with storywriters, such as As You Like It (2008 SelfMadeHero, London) by Shakespeare and The Book of Five Rings by Musashi Miyamoto (adopted by Sean Michael Wilson, 2012 Shambhala, Boston & London).
One of my latest projects is the every two month illustrated columns for Mainichi Weekly (published by one of the major Japanese news paper companies) about life and culture in U.K

My books are available at the most of English speaking countries and Japan. Also some of them are translated in Turkey, France, Italy and Spain.

Besides creating manga comics, I attend many manga-related events in and out of UK and run manga workshops at schools, libraries, and museums, such as the British Museum, the British Library and Victoria and Albert Museum.

I also have worked on projects for Channel 4, CNN, Wagamama and Sejuced, among many others.

My work is deeply influenced by Shojo/Yaoi genre but enjoys drawing many other genres, such as Samurai fighting to horror.
